16th Short Animation Film Project Production Support Application Guidelines – 2026

1. Purpose

The Canlandıranlar Talent Camp (CYK) is a training and production program organized to support the production of short animation films.

The program aims to support young animation filmmakers throughout the creative process, provide professional consultancy, connect them with the industry, and increase their national and international visibility.

Three (3) short animation film projects will be selected from among the applications and will be developed and produced in line with the opportunities provided by universities, production companies, and supporters collaborating with the Canlandıranlar Association.

Everyone who applies under this guideline is deemed to have read and accepted all the conditions stated herein.

2. Supporting Institutions

The current supporting institutions, collaborators, and sponsors of the program may change each year.

The current list of supporters will be announced by the Canlandıranlar Association.

3. Deadline

Applications must be submitted online through the application system by 24:00 on September 1, 2026.

Applications submitted after the specified date will not be considered.

4. Participation Conditions

• Applications are open to short animation film projects of all techniques and genres, excluding educational, advertising, and promotional films.
• The suggested duration of the submitted projects is between 3-7 minutes.
• The subject and theme of the projects are free.
• A director must be designated for each project.
• Projects without a designated director will not be considered.
• Participants must be at least 18 years old.
• Individuals who have previously applied to CYK or produced films with CYK support may reapply.
• A participant may apply with more than one project. A separate application is required for each project.
• Applications are free of charge.
• Applications are only accepted through the Canlandıranlar Association‘s website. Applications submitted by hand or mail will not be considered.
• Application materials will only be used during the evaluation process and will be kept confidential.
• CYK may invite applicants for online or in-person interviews if deemed necessary.

5. Application Documents

The following documents must be submitted in full with the application:

• A summary of the project of a maximum of 250 words
• A storyboard
• Design visuals describing the characters, location, lighting, color, art direction, and visual world, if any
• A short biography of the director
• A recent photograph of the director
• Other information requested in the application form

Incomplete applications may not be considered.

6. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

If artificial intelligence (AI) tools are used in the project;

• The area of ​​use must be clearly stated in the application.
• All legal responsibility regarding copyright, license, and third-party rights that may arise from the use of AI belongs to the project owner.
• CYK may request additional information or documents regarding the use of AI if deemed necessary.

7. Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights

Applicants acknowledge and declare that:

• The project they are applying for is their own original work,
• It does not infringe the copyrights of third parties,
• They have obtained the necessary permissions.

Any legal responsibility arising under the Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works belongs to the project owner.

CYK assumes no legal responsibility in this regard.

8. Production Support

CYK provides in-kind and consultancy support to selected projects.

Support may include:

• Academic consultancy
• Script development
• Storyboard consultancy
• Character and art design consultancy
• Production consultancy
• Technical equipment facilities
• Studio and post-production support (if applicable)

The scope of support may vary for each project.

CYK is not obligated to make direct cash payments to project owners.

9. Credits and Logo Usage

In films produced with CYK support:

• The CYK logo must be included in the opening credits,
• The logos of CYK and relevant supporters must be included in the closing credits,
• The producer information to be provided by CYK must be included in the producer credits.

CYK support must also be mentioned in posters, catalogs, press releases, and similar promotional materials.

10. Revenues and Awards

If the film wins a monetary award at any festival or competition, the entire award belongs to the project owner.

Apart from this, the sharing of revenues that may arise from television, digital platforms, VOD, commercial licensing, or similar commercial screenings of the film will be determined separately in writing between CYK and the project owner before the project production begins.

11. Promotional Rights

CYK may use:

• Short clips from the film,
• Trailer,
• Promotional footage,
• Poster,
• Set photos,
• Visuals related to the production process,

only for promotional purposes in the press, television, internet, social media, and similar media.

12. Selection Committee

Projects are evaluated by the Canlandıranlar Yetenek Kampı Selection Committee.

CYK may make changes as deemed necessary.

The decisions of the Selection Committee are final.

13. Announcement of Results

Results will be announced in September 2026.

Winning project owners will be notified via email.

Results may also be announced on the official communication channels of the Canlandıranlar Association.

14. Production Schedule

The schedule may be changed according to project needs.

CYK support may be terminated for projects that do not meet the schedule or cannot continue the production process without reasonable justification.

15. Screening Rights

Films produced with CYK support may be used for:

• Festival screenings,
• Educational activities,
• Cultural events,
• Private screenings,
• For archival purposes,
• On the official digital platforms of the Canlandıranlar Association,

for non-commercial screening purposes.

The director will be informed before the film is published online.

Directors are free to submit their films to any national and international festivals they wish.

16. Protection of Personal Data

Personal data shared within the scope of the application will only be used in the application, evaluation, production, and communication processes of the CYK and will be protected in accordance with the relevant legislation.

17. Force Majeure

Changes may be made to the CYK calendar, production process, or program content due to natural disasters, epidemics, war, decisions of public authorities, or similar force majeure events.

18. Final Provisions

The Canlandıranlar Association reserves the right to make decisions on matters not covered in this specification.

All participants who apply are deemed to have accepted all the provisions of this specification.
