A man is swimming in the sea. As he progresses, his memories surface. All his memories, from his childhood to adulthood, are connected to water. Some are happy, some are glorious, and some are traumatic. This story will be the story of his final swim. It will take us from its source to the river, from the pools of his childhood to swimming pools, from North Africa to the shores of the Mediterranean, from Olympic stadiums to water retention ponds, from concentration camps to the dreamlike beaches of La Réunion.
