Åsa Lucander is a director, illustrator and animator. Originally from Finland, Åsa moved to London in 2001 and settled in Bristol in 2014, joining the renowned studio Aardman. Her career path began with illustration and later led her to moving images. Her diverse talents in storytelling, design and animation have allowed her to work in a variety of creative styles including 2D, stop motion and CGI.
Åsa Lucander loves exploring hand-drawn designs and textures, blending humor with melancholy. She is adept at bringing characters to life with compelling scenarios and a creative vision. Her latest work includes the award-winning music video for Coldplay’s “Daddy”.
