The Canlandıranlar International Film Festival, organised by the Canlandıranlar Association, will be held again in Istanbul between 23-29 October this year…
Organised for the 11th time, the festival will continue to be the meeting point of the animation world in Turkey with short and feature film screenings, competition section, school screenings, interviews and workshops. The theme of this year’s festival is Hand in Hand Animation to emphasise joint production, solidarity and cooperation.
This year, the festival will be held in two main venues: Institut Français in Taksim and Museum Gazhane in Kadıköy.
The festival programme includes 78 short competition films, 14 of which are made in Turkey, 10 short out-of-competition films and 4 feature films.
In addition to film screenings, the festival will feature important interviews and interesting workshops that can be described as historical records.
As an example of the Hand in Hand Animation theme, the promotional film of the festival is currently being produced by Animators and its volunteers.
