Furniture Poetry
Paul Bush | 5 min | UK | 2000
Like most of the filmmakers whose work I love, Paul Bush, – with whom I also enjoyed to have conversations – focuses particularly on the relationship between image and sound (or music), a focus clearly evident in Furniture Poetry. Even more significant, to my mind, is that Paul here establishes a technique of “replacement animation” using found objects, an approach I believe I encountered in this form for the first time in his work.
