“How my grandmother became an elephant” is an animated short film that tells the story of a family whose life suddenly changes when their grandmother becomes mysteriously ill. The central feature of the plot is the animal manifestations of the disease that grandmother exhibits. Animal features appear gradually, interfering with the family’s life as the story goes on. Turns out, granny has rapidly progressing body affliction, which leads to a complete transformation into an elephant and a terrible rampage in the house ensues. Granny is taken to a nursing home, which turns out to be more of a nature reserve where animal or half-animal people spend their time as comfortably as possible. The family visits the granny in her new home, where she obviously feels more comfortable than in the small apartment she lived in before. (The language the characters speak isn’t real.)
