A lost cat in Tokyo and a giant, talkative frog bring together the paths of people searching for direction in their lives. Adapted from Haruki Murakami’s short stories, the 2022 film *Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman* examines the voids that open up within everyday life following a major upheaval. Moving between reality and dreams, the film conveys the sense that even the most bizarre encounters can bring a person closer to themselves.
