Jerzy Kucia also played a role in my artistic journey; alongside Paul Glabicki, he served on the selection jury that invited my student film BUNT to the 1992 Hiroshima Animation Festival. I had the opportunity to engage in various conversations and attend lectures on his artistic philosophy, encounters that shaped me. A fundamental principle of his filmmaking, which rejects linear storytelling, is the independent treatment of the visual and aural layers. In my view, this interplay opens up a space for free association for the audience.
