This program of most of the Animated Films I have made in my life so far has three parts.
It begins with a playful variety of four films, which I made as a student at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (1990-1994). SC01 then gives an example for a group of films, when I experimented with 16mm cameras, and MAO TSE TUNG – Volume II represents my work as a producer for befriended artists. The program closes with my internationally most sucessful films, which I made between 2010 and today.
Searching for a common profile of my films, I would like to mention, that very often music, sometimes even composed or played by myself, oftenly takes a key role (while I tend to avoid language.)
Another characteristic might be my intention to stay open for different concepts, approaches and techniques, and that – most obviously in my last three films – I try to build bridges between usually seperated film categories, like e.g. avantgarde and animation.
