Strange Occurrences: Bukit Bulabu is a fictional ghost documentary done in stop motion. The story takes place in Singapore and involves a Singaporean influencer, a German Professor and a Singaporean Auntie who is a “superstitions expert”. With the interviewees recounting their haunted experience at the rediscovered colonial bathroom atop Bukit Bulabu, an underlying family history between the three characters unfolds.
The film consists of four sets and four puppets in total. The characters, made with an illustrative style in mind, is complemented by the sets made with a wonky handmade look.
