“A person’s life, in every society, consists solely of passing from one age to another, from one task to the other.” *

If to miss something, is a matter of missing the target and thus becoming unsuccessful, then persons in the modern world are missing their own meaning in this quest for success and of reaching goals. We propose that it’s impossible to reach a goal and not miss something else along the way. Each person would have to bring forth their existence through a choice regarding what to put in place of that which will be missed. Through this choice, they will be defined either via the status they have reached in society or choose their own meaning and be defined through their dissonance in the rest of society.

Our project aims to show the in-betweenness of the individual as they struggle to choose between their self and their community, although we might have missed our aim. And this is where the cycle begins. The androgynous and ever-changing body of the main character of the film is thrown toward their own life yet they break and fall into the water. Disjointed and gathered by the sea, our character is carried ashore. Although they refuse to wake up once there, the waves that have carried them there shall force their awakening. As our character begins to take in their surroundings, they realize they are in a mess made up of disjointed human bodies. Unable to stand this separation from those that have fallen just like they have, our character tries to escape the collective reality only to realize how they themselves are not whole. In order to fill the gaping hole, they begin their search for completion. And thus the journey begins.
